Sample data for everyday work
AddressGen helps you generate sample addresses and contact details when a blank form or an unfinished demo needs something more useful than “test, test, test.” Choose a region, generate a result, and use the example to see how your project handles names, address fields, and different formats.
The goal is simple: make routine testing easier without asking you to bring real customer information into the process. You do not need an account, your own address, or payment details to use the generator.
Where it helps
Sample data is useful at several stages of a project:
- Development: populate a form or a preview while building an interface.
- Testing: check field lengths, line wrapping, required fields, and how an address is displayed.
- Demonstrations: show a workflow without exposing a customer record in a screenshot or presentation.
- Learning: explore the parts of an address and how address formats vary between countries.
A sample can help reveal a narrow text field, an awkward line break, or an assumption that every country uses the same address layout. It is a starting point for these checks, rather than a complete test suite or an address verification service.
How to use it
Open the generator for the country you want to work with. Where a state selector is available, choose a state before generating a result. The page displays sample personal and address details, so you can review the individual fields and the full address together.
Generate another result when you need a different example. Before putting it into your own project, decide whether you are testing the appearance of a form, its validation rules, or a complete workflow. Those tasks need different checks. If a workflow sends messages or creates shipments, use destinations that you control instead of the generated contact details.
What the results can and cannot tell you
The details are examples, not verified identities. A generated address may not exist or accept deliveries, and its city, state, and postal code may not always match. Phone numbers and other details can also coincide with real ones. Do not use the results to contact people, claim an identity, or represent a real place of residence.
The US tax-free state feature is a way to select regional sample data. It does not establish residency, provide a business address, or give you a tax exemption. Real transactions and official forms need accurate information appropriate to your circumstances.
Using simulated details can help you avoid copying personal records into a demo, but it does not replace your own privacy and security responsibilities. Our Terms of Service explain the permitted uses and limits. The Privacy Policy covers how the site handles requests, browser preferences, and other information.
Feedback and contact
If a label is unclear, a result looks wrong, or a region would make the tool more useful for your work, tell us at [email protected]. Include the page and a short description of what you expected. Please leave out real customer records and other sensitive information; a fictional example is usually enough to explain the issue.
